So the Curt Premium is probably what I consider the most family friendly bike rack, just because of the way or probably friendly hanging style bike rack, that is, because of the way it's designed to help out with those smaller children's bikes or those different shaped frames. Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we are looking at the Kuat Sherpa Two-Bike Rack here on our 2021 Toyota Sienna. Now, the Kuat Sherpa is a great mid-range bike rack. It has the features and beautiful design you would expect from a Kuat bike rack, but that is at a more affordable price. So one of its features is that it can tilt away, and to do so, you would pull this lever right over here, and that allows it to drop down to a tilt. And you'll want to do that if you want to access your hatch. Now, what I noticed here on our Sienna is that as the door does come up, it looks like it comes close, but there's still clearance, and that gives you the opportunity to get into your trunk, maybe grab your bags, your water, your helmets without having to take the bike off. more

It's compatible with fat bikes and it tilts away really far compared to other platform bike racks that do tilt away. Let's actually take a look at that tilt away feature. You have that unique, goalpost design that makes it easier to put your bikes up and on the bike rack as well as how it has all that nice features you'd expect from a Kuat bike rack at a lower price. So the Kuat NV is an awesome bike rack from Kuat because of how many features they have in this nice stylish, but also functional bike rack. One of the features they have is that it can tilt away, and to do so, you pull on this lever right over here, and that's gonna allow it to drop down to a tilt just like that. And you'll want to do this if you want to access your hatch. So as you can see here on our Sienna, there is clearance between our door and our handlebars, allowing us to get into our trunk maybe grab some bags, some water, our helmets, all without having to take our bike off. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today on 2015 Toyota Sienna we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE four bike platform rack, part number HR1400.With the bike installed, let's take a close look and show off some of the features. To start, like most platform racks, you can tilt this away from your vehicle. I'm going to come in here and remove this pin and clip like so and then we're going to pull on this pin right here and let it tilt away. However, you are going to find that when you try to access your trunk with it tilted away, the trunk does make contact with the bike that you have installed so you won't be able to access your trunk when you have bikes installed.To tilt it back, just pull it up til it clicks then we'll go and replace our pin and clip. Sometimes pulling up on the back of the rack will help out with that process.The trays are adjustable just by loosening and tightening this hand knob right here you can slide it along the tray or you can slide the tray along the bike rack to accommodate bikes which are different lengths. Our bike has three different points where it's secured. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota Sienna HR1450Z-85- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Toyota Sienna, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 Two Bike Rack with a cargo carrier attached, part number HR1450Z-85. Now this bike rack does have a cargo carrier attached, like I said. It is removable, if you don't really want to use the cargo carrier but you also want to use your bike rack. All we have to do is take out this pin right here and then it just slides right out. You also do get a sleeve with the kit so that if you don't want to use the bike rack but you want to use the cargo carrier, the sleeve goes on the end of the shank of the cargo carrier, and then you can use it for your 2" hitch receiver.How it tightens down is this handle right here. Once we tighten this handle down like so, that pulls on the pin back here, pulls it backwards to jam it in there and then take out the unnecessary rattling. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Sienna, we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts BackStage 2 Bike Platform Rack for 2" Hitches, part number RKY10002.We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look here. This is a pretty unique bike rack in that it can tilt away and swing out away, if need be, from your vehicle to gain better rear hatch access. With the platform style, it can tilt away with both bikes still attached, and we have this blue handle up at the front to do so. That's really nice because a lot of the other bike racks will have the handle up at the front. It'll make it a little bit difficult to get to when you have two bikes attached to it.So, holding onto the bike rack, we'll pull the latch out and let it tilt down. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Sienna, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima HoldUp EVO 2 Bike Platform Rack for 2" Hitches, part number Y02479.We already have a bike installed on our rack. Let's go and take a closer look. Like most platform style racks, this can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached, and they did make a slight improvement over the last HoldUp, where there you actually had to pull out a pin and hold onto the bike rack, and it was a little awkward to lower it down. With this, they have a easy-to-access handle. You pull towards you, let the bike rack come forward, and unfortunately, for the Sienna, you can't open the hatch all the way, because it will come into contact with our handlebar that you see there, although you can gain some access. To put the bike rack back up, we'll simply lift up on the bike rack itself until you hear a click.How the bike is held into place will have two points of contact. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Toyota Sienna, we're doing a test-fit of the Thule T2 Classic Platform-Style 2-Bike Rack, that part number is: TH9044.Now, we already have our bike secured down, but first, we're going to show you one of the key features of this rack. We're going to come to the center here, you'll see our pin. We're going to start by removing that. Then we're going to pull down on our lever here at the center, and we can push down on our bike rack and tilt it away from our vehicle.With our bike rack tilted away, we are going to gain full access, but you'll see that we're pretty close to our handlebars there. Now, we have about nine inches from the center of our handlebars to the outer most edge, so just keep that in mind. Any handlebars that are about that length, I would keep closest to your vehicle. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Toyota Sienna, we're doing a test fit of the Rola TX-103 Hanging Style Three Bike Rack. That part number is 59403.Now we already have our bike secured down. I'm first going to show you how we secure it in place. So here we have three points of contact and three straps too on our frame, along with our anti sway strap in the back. Now our bike handlebars are close to our vehicle, but they're not touching. We do have an option to adjust our cradle, so that it's even further away from our vehicle if we don't have as many bikes loaded up, we also have a straps available on our website as well to hold our tire in place.To release our bike, we're just going to pull down and lift up. more

Today on our 2016 Toyota Sienna we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE4 Bike Rack for two inch hitches. part number HR1400. We already have one bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now how the bike is actually gripped to the rack, we're going to have three points of contact. We're going to have this padded frame hook up at the top, so you're bike doesn't get scratched up once it's being installed, and we have two hook and move straps to hold down each wheel. The wheel cradles themselves are just adjustable by loosening and tightening up the knobs here, and they're adjustable to accommodate different size bikes but also to accommodate loading. One of the more important features about this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away with all the bike still attached. more

Today on our 2016 Toyota Sienna, we're going to be test fitting Pro Series Q slot platform style two and four bike rack for two inch hitches, product number PS63138. We already have the bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. First off, right now we have it in the four bike configuration. This can be separated, this portion here, can be separated from that to turn it into just a two bike application. It grips your bike at three points. We're going to have a padded frame hook up at the top, and it's padded so the bike itself does not get scratched up once it's being installed. We also have hook and loop straps on both tires. more

We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. First off, how the bike is actually attached to the rack, we're going to have three points of contact. Starting with the top here, we have this padded frame hook. Now it's padded to make sure that your bike frame doesn't get scratched up once it's being installed. We also have hook-and-loop straps at both tires, and the wheel cradles themselves are adjustable along the arms here, to accommodate different sized bikes, but they also assist with loading. more

Today on our 2016 Toyota Sienna we're doing a test fit of the Kuat Beta hanging-style 2-bike rack. That part number is B202-2. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we do that. We have two cradles in place with three straps, two on our frame and one as our anti-sway strap in the back. We're going to start by pushing down on our lever and releasing those. more

Today on our 2016 Toyota Sienna, we're doing a test fit of the Kuat NV 2.0 platform-style 2-bike rack. That part number is NV22G. Now we already have our bike secured down, so we're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack. We're going to come here to the side and pull down on our lever, and that allows us to tilt our bike rack with our bikes fully loaded away from our vehicle. We'll open up our door. I've already gone ahead and checked. You can see that we just barely miss contact with our handlebars. more

Now, we have our bike on our rack, and we have our rack hooked up to our vehicle. The first feature I would like to show you is a tilting feature with the bike on, so I'm just going to raise these arms up. You can either do it with your hand or your foot. Saris Freedom-SuperClamp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today on our 2015 Toyota Sienna we're doing a test fit of the Saris Freedom SuperClamp 2-Bike Rack platform style, that part number sa4025. Now we have a bike on our rack and we have the rack hooked onto our vehicle. We're gonna show you a few features of it. Like I say it's SuperClamp, we have two frame hooks, one for the front wheel, one for the back wheel. Alrighty how those engage, you press the button here to disengage it you can bring it up but to engage it just pull down, until it stops clicking so it's nice and tight. Now each of the wheels are sitting in wheel cradles but the back one back here also has a strap so it holds it in and it keeps your spokes and your wheels safe. Let's go ahead and pull that one out here, now we're gonna disengage the front one. more

How our bike is held down, we have our frame hook here, pretty much holds it all down. Let me go ahead and move this one out the way to show you how it works. You press the black button here, pull up, always hold onto your bike, but when you're ready to engage it, just pull down til you stop. more
